What to read on Cerebral Palsy?

If there’s one source of knowledge important for parents with Cerebral Palsy, it’s mostly blogging. People love reading about the experiences they can relate to, especially if they are as difficult as raising the child suffering from Cerebral Palsy. There are a lot of blogs out there about this difficult journey. They may be a reliable source of knowledge where to call for help but it also is a good source of mental health help, knowing that you are not alone in dealing with certains problems and feeling a special connection with somebody on the other side of the screen.

There are also different books: they are either for parents, siblings or even the peers of the child with Cerebral Palsy that is going to school. These books are certainly a good source of knowledge about how to deal with that disability, but they also can be a source of joy and positive moments as they will help you notice the great things about your child or sibling diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. Such texts definitely help in keeping a good and positive attitude which is really important during the process of raising a disabled child.

There are also books written by people who actually are disabled themselves and suffer from Cerebral Palsy. They share their life experiences and show the whole other way of viewing the world. It may be a good idea to gift one of those books to your child with Cerebral Palsy, so they can recognize there are other people living with this and they can find some joy in such a life.
